Stacey Graham is a fine art painter from Providence, R.I. She has been painting since 1992 and received her B.F.A. from the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. Current works consist mainly of oils and acrylics. Stacey’s first passion is for figurative painting drawn from personal experience. Each panel incorporates themes of juxtaposing beauty and sadness to create a carefully balanced narrative. She values capturing the emotion of the moment, through a painted diary of dramatic colors, bold shadows, and repetitive shapes. Recent evolution in Stacey’s work expands into landscapes, flowers, and other natural themes in a whimsical style, while further infusing the idea of juxtaposition and narrative. Her imagery is chosen from places she has visited and feels an emotional connection with. Stacey has been featured in numerous galleries, including Gallery Belleau, Hoxie Gallery, and Gallery Z. She also owned and exhibited at the Knight Gallery on the East Side of Providence. Stacey was a top ten artist to be selected for the International Erotic Art Festival at the Whaler’s Wharf Gallery in Provincetown. Her work has been on the cover of East Side Monthly, The Observer, and Newport Times. Stacey teaches both private and group lessons. Stacey also creates commissioned works for private homes.
